I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free.....and I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me and I'll gladly stand UP! Next to you and defend her still today, cause there ain't no doubt I love this land!!! God Bless the USA!!!
I was thinking today of the time I spent the 4th of July at Cougar stadium at BYU- part of the evening was when the new citizens were sworn in. They then marched around the field waving little flags, tears streaming. I wonder if we are as grateful for our citizenship as those who studied and worked so hard to become citizens. I hope so- but it never hurts to take a moment to really think about how blessed we are.
It's the 4th of July! I am SO grateful to live in a country where I can worship as I please, marry who I choose, have as many children as I'd like, live where I'd like, buy food I want, travel where I'd want to when I want to, etc. etc. I love that I feel safe because of the many people who are willing to serve to protect us. I hope we all take at least a few minutes to be grateful for the major blessing it is for us to live here in America. Happy 4th!!

AMEN!!! Thanks for the great reminder, it is a wonderful blessing we enjoy and it's always good to remember. We sang "My country Tis of Thee" on Sunday and I got teary thinking about what a beautiful land we live in and what great blessings of freedom we can act upon.
I totally agree with you! I hope I am as grateful for what I have always had as those are who work for it.
