Here's my little reader! :-) Logan loves to read- well, he does need prodding now and then- ok- daily- ha ha But! In this picture he had actually grabbed his books and sat down to read them on his own. I was SO proud I had to take a picture! (It takes him 5 minutes to read one, so he knows he has to read three books to cross off a section on his chart.) He's currently working toward the 15 hours of reading challenge from the library, and he'll tell you, 'that is a LOT of work'. Anyway- not to be all braggy, I was just so proud to find him 'expanding his mind' of his own accord and not because I was withholding TV privileges until he read for 15 minutes!
And THIS sweet little girl is still in the newborn-sleeps-most-of-the-time phase, and she looks so dang cute when she's sleeping I can't help picking her up just to hold her close! She is such a doll- I am definitely enjoying every single moment. I am SOOOO glad she's been here a couple of weeks rather than inside. Today is her due date and I can't tell you how grateful I am to have the whole birth thing behind me rather than happening right now!! :-)
Here's my sweetie awake- she is showing off her bow here. :-) The boys LOVE when her eyes are open- they always try to show her stuff when they see she's awake, whether it be pictures they've drawn or cool tricks they can do. :-) She must give them the response they're looking for because the show and tell never seems to get old. If only I could convince them she can't see things RIGHT next to her face (such as THEIR faces...). They sure do love their little sis!

Logan is SO handsome, and I love Katie's little modeling her bow for the camera. Cute!
I love how they sleep over 20 hours a day for the first couple weeks. That has to be an example of a tender mercy of the Lord, so us moms can have a chance to recover before they're too demanding. She's beautiful! I love the pic of her sleeping. So sweet.
Way to go Logan. You'll have to give Austin some reading tips! I never get tired of seeing pics of that sweet baby girl so keep the pics coming! It amazes me how identical she is to all of your boys! So cute!
Woo Hoo Logan! That reading is hard work---and not just for the kids! ;) Cari, Katie is so precious! I'm so glad for you to be done too! Those last two weeks are so unnecessary!
Reading can be so much fun, thats nice that he is taking the challenge. Katie is the cutest, and I remember those good ole days where they sleep all day long. I use to do the same with Hillary. I always wanted to hold her close while she was sleeping. Can't wait for this one to be here to do the same.
Cari...It makes me wish you were closer so I could hold her! She is adorable. SO SWEET!
Ok, I don't know where I have been. I just realized that I hadn't even seen pictures of your sweet baby yet. She is beautiful!! I guess I have been crazy busy with my baby, time has just passed me by. Congrats. I am so happy for you. What a beautiful family you have!!
