In the mood to remember

Logan told me yesterday, "if Luke was here, I'd be a good brother to him." I know he would be. Sometimes the hardest part of parenting is not being able to take the hurt away from your kids. I guess the good news is that there is someone who knows our kids better than we do- who loves our kids more than we do (which hardly seems possible!)- someone who CAN take the hurt away. I think our job as parents is to love them all we can, and then teach them that even when Mom and Dad can't fix it, our Father in Heaven can. For that, I am grateful...and therein lies the peace. :-) Love your babies today!

You guys consistently impress me with how positive you always seem. I know that it breaks my heart every time my kids bring up our car accident and I see how much that still traumatizes them. And that doesn't begin to compare to what you have experienced.

I know that it will always still hurt for you, but what a blessing to have that eternal perspective and know that Luke will still be yours forever.

Cari, I miss you! I needed to hear that too. Sometimes it is hard to think that on a day to day basis when it gets stressful to raise our children. I always appreciate that reminder. I hope you guys are doing so well. Love Ya!

What a happy boy! I love that all of Luke's pictures are such smiley ones. Logan is a great brother. Cari you need to write a parenting book for the rest of us. I'm always learning from you.
