Every year when I was growing up my Dad would take me on a half-birthday date. I LOVED these dates. I would dress up extra fancy and head out for a night on the town. I was always positive everyone around knew the occasion, as I was so extremely grown up now. You could tell just by looking at me! These dates are such a highlight of my childhood that I wanted my own children to experience the same fun with their Daddy. And if you can't tell by looking at him,
Logan's 4 1/2 now! :-) He got to go out with James for a 'guys' night' to celebrate. They had McDonalds for dinner (he even got a toy), then got ice cream cones, and finally went to Blockbuster to pick up a Batman movie. They're watching it right now- I WAS watching it with them, until Logan informed me it would have a bad guy and I would NOT want to see that part. Evidently the movie is just for boys as well, which solidified the fact that I needed to come add to my blog rather than enjoy the flick. :-) So here I am.
And thinking of fun things to do on the internet, this is one of the funniest things I've seen this Christmas! If you have a second, you really need to check it out. I'm not sure if I can make the link work, so if not, copy and paste! :-) Should you feel a need to break out an elf costume afterwards, just make sure to get it on video.

Aren't Happy Meals the best! We usually don't get them so when we do they're a special treat. I love that you celebrate 1/2 birthdays. Last time I was the parent helper in Rocko's class his teacher asked what holiday was in February and Rocko shouted out "I turn 6 and 1/2!" Yeah that wasn't what she was looking for.
I love you guys as elves! That is too funny. The best is the shimmy.
