What's a Snow Day?

We had our first snow day! Logan's preschool was canceled Friday because of snow, and we had a WONDERFUL time! He had no idea what a snow day was, but when I explained it meant that instead of going to school he'd have to stay home and play in the snow he was VERY excited.

We got all bundled up and headed out to our backyard to play in about six inches of snow- the good snowball-making kind of snow! We made snow angels, I got to run Logan around the yard in a sled (somehow I think he got the better end of that deal), and we made a little snowman. Unfortunately my camera wouldn't work (please, Santa...a camera for Christmas!!), so I couldn't take pics, but I did try over...and over...and over. :-)

The best part was probably the snowball fight. Logan thought it was hilarious to not only throw them at me, but to get hit as well. Tyler, on the other hand, thought it was funny to watch us get hit- he did NOT enjoy getting hit with the snow. In fact, he spent most of the time in his swing rather than down in the cold, cooold snow. Ty did like to pretend to throw snowballs (I would throw an actual one at Logan at the same time), and thought it was really funny when Logan got 'hit.'

I know those of you in Arizona are laughing as you sit in your toasty warm houses in t-shirts and flip flops, but I have to say we had SO much fun in the snow, that perhaps we will enjoy it here...almost as much as we did there. :-) So for now, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

It's actually a little cold here. Enough for a sweatshirt. Which is good since I only own 1 sweater (what not to wear, why aren't you calling me???). I hope your camera is working soon . . really I'm hoping for sake it doesn't and Santa has to do something about it!!

Cari I'm jealous! Sounds like fun. The other day Rocko wanted them to cancel school cause it was raining. It's probably the closest we'll ever get to a snow day.

Also today when I took Caden and Rocko to school they were talking about preschool and how much fun it was because they got to go in your back yard and get chased by Jake.

You did such a good job of describing it that you don't even need a camera! I can picture you guys out there pulling sleds and breathing hard (you mostly) and throwing wet snowballs. I miss Ohio. Where, exactly, do you live, Carrie?
